In an ongoing project to improve my lifestyle portfolio I have enlisted the help of area models. As a benefit to them I asked them to tell me what they might need for their own comp cards and what not. So I was contacted by Kiron Golden mother to Grayson Golden. Grayson, 14, is a nice young man and needed some new photographs after, what his mother describes as, growing a foot in the past year and also getting off his braces. I found Grayson to be a wonderful polite young man and a good model. We worked otgether to get him a new headshot for his comp card as well as new looks for his card.

Power Women Portraits in Naples FL.
So some of my most recent photographs were a series of photos about Power Women in Naples FL. for Gulfshore Life Magazine. The advetorial will be featured in the March issue of Gulfshore Life. I had the pleasure of shooting two wonderful and beautiful women for the upcoming issue, Susan Scholz, Chief Operating Officer for Specialist in Urology and Dr. Barbara Reed. Each were truly a joy to shoot. In Susan’s case we decided to shoot her on location at their building on U.S. 41 in Naples, across from The Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club. It was kind of a gray day but with the use of some carefully balanced flash I was able to get some very nice photos. Barbara I shot in the studio with the help make-up artist and stylist Holly Pergola and my assistant Connor Garrett. We shot two outfits with Barbara and decided the black was our best choice for the feature about her.

Family Photo in Naples/Bonita Springs
So I recently had the pleasure of catching up with an old friend of mine, Melissa Moran. We went to school together in Naples and I reconnected with her on Facebook. I sent out a general request to everyone on Facebook looking for a boy to pose for a photo illustration for an upcoming health magazine. In return I paid Melissa with a family portrait. Melissa and her family live the Bonita Springs area. She had expressed wanting to do something a little different and more fall related. I had suggested staying away from the beach, I know it is the big attraction for people in the area and I like it as well, but there are so many more facets to the area than just the beach. So I came up with Riverside Park in Bonita Springs. It is a great little picturesque park in the center of the city and is often overlooked. The family coordinated their outfits in various shades of blue and a I suggested a half dozen location with in a two acre area. The photos really have a fall feel to them and I helped warming them up with a filter on the flash.

Tamra Nashman Naples Fashion Consultant
Naples image consultant Tamra Nashman poses for a feature about her for e'Bella Magazine on Third Street in Old Naples recently. Photos By Erik Kellar
Tamra Nashman found me through Protocol Models. Tamra came to me wanting to work on a feature about her for e’ Bella Magazine, which is distributed all over Naples for free. Tamra is an image consultant, her website is Extra-Oridnary Image, she specializes in helping people re-invison themselves I guess you could say. She works on the overall appearance and also helps with their inner persona as well. Tamra is a very experienced in both media broadcast and print work and also holds a masters degree. Working with Tamra was quite a joy. She knows her look and knows how to move which made my job easy so I could concentrate on making her as beautiful as I could with the camera. The photos we did together only took about an hour around Third Street South in Old Naples. She relayed her pleasant surprise in seeing the photos I produced for her.

Barbara King Naples FL Fashion Consultant and Stylist
So I met Barbara King at a PRACC meeting in September. What a wonderful vibrant woman. We got to talking and Barbara and I wanted to work on shooting some high school senior portraits together. Barbara is a fashion consultant at http://barbarakingstyling.com/ see a snapshot below of what she has done. But in the mean time I asked her if she would like to shoot with me. So I got her in the studio to do some shots. I worked out to be a nice afternoon and we produced some great photos.
Barbara has been creating fashionable looks since 1995 from New York to Hollywood. Her clients range from Hollywood stars and business executives to up-and-coming professionals. Barbara makes fashion easy for her clients by doing personal shopping, analyzing her client’s closet to keep what works, pitch what doesn’t, and create new looks with a combination of existing and new clothes.
A graduate of FIT in NYC with a Fashion Merchandising degree, Barbara knows the coolest shops and boutiques to find just the right pieces for her client’s wardrobe. She was responsible for the celebrity style makeovers for the stars of the “Miss Congeniality 2″ premiere party, and she has been featured in the L.A. Times, Maxim, Life & Style, the Orange County Register, Gulf shore Life, eBella. She has also appeared on HGTV and the Fine Living Channel.
Lawand Interiors of Marco Island
I recently had the pleasure of shooting JoAnne Lawand, owner of Lawand Interiors on Marco Island. JoAnne was a delightful subject and shared a lot of gardening tips. I wanted to highlight her in the context of her home which she, of course, decorated. She has a big set of sliding glass doors that allow sunlight to stream in and illuminate her home. I supplemented the light with a softbox and got some awesome results.
